These are our current campus-wide volunteer opportunities:
We are still looking for two parent volunteers to be co-room parents for Ms. Garcia's class. As a room parent you keep the class Band page up to date, share photos and updates from the teacher, coordinate volunteers for classroom and school-wide events, and help organize teacher gifts throughout the year.
The best part? There’s no requirement to volunteer in the classroom, attend meetings, or commit to in-person time! This is a great way to stay involved and help support our classroom community from wherever you are.
If you’re interested, please email Stephanie Mai @ HamiltonRoomParents@gmail.com. Thank you!
PUSD has a short screening process in place for anyone who would like to volunteer (for either on-campus work or off-campus activities like field trips). It only needs to be done once per school year. Contact the front office for all the details.
You do not need to be a PTA member to volunteer on campus or in your child's classroom (and signing up for a PTA membership does not obligate you to volunteer). We welcome your involvement at whatever level is most comfortable and sustainable for you.
Some volunteer roles:
Virtual volunteer: coordinate field trips and book the buses, or set up after school enrichment activities
Chair or co-chair committees, such as the Cultural Fair or Talent Show
Donate food or drinks to classroom and PTA events
Donate resources to the classroom or library
Share your expertise in a classroom presentation
Host a booth at SMART Night
Serve as the Room Representative for your child's classroom
Chaperone a field trip
Manage electronic equipment (lighting, audio, etc) for a campus program
